Are you an educator or healthcare provider who has an impact on the lives of people experiencing poverty? Are you someone who works with or interacts with people experiencing poverty? If so, the poverty simulation may be a good training opportunity for you!
We are facilitating TWO simulations coming up — one in Salem, and one in Portland. Registration is now open, so register early and reserve your spot Space is limited. Registration fee: $25.
The poverty simulation is a learning tool that will help you gain a better understanding of the daily realities of poverty. During the simulation, participants role-play the lives of people experiencing poverty. The simulation enables participants to look at poverty from a variety of angles and and then to recognize and discuss the potential for change within the community.
We are also looking for volunteers to play service provider roles during the simulation (e.g. — police officer, banker, social services, etc.). If you are interested in volunteering, or have any questions, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org!
We look forward to seeing you there!
