Child Wel­fare Infor­ma­tion Gate­way, through the US Depart­ment of Health and Human Ser­vices, pro­vides infor­ma­tion on top­ics such as child abuse and neglect, fos­ter care, and adoption.

Office of Fam­ily Assis­tance through the US Depart­ment of Health and Human Ser­vices, admin­is­ters fed­eral grant pro­grams includ­ing Tem­po­rary Assis­tance for Needy Fam­i­lies (TANF), Tribal pro­grams, Healthy Mar­riage and Respon­si­ble Father­hood, and Health Pro­fes­sion Oppor­tu­nity grants. The site includes sta­tis­tics on state spend­ing on TANF and other programs.

The Child Wel­fare ini­tia­tive, by the National Con­fer­ence of State Leg­is­la­tures, includes a Fos­ter Care Bill of Rights, the Pre­vent­ing Sex Traf­fick­ing and Strength­en­ing Fam­i­lies Act of 2014, and Sup­ports for Older Youth in Fos­ter Care. It also hosts a leg­isla­tive data­base with infor­ma­tion on cur­rent fed­eral and state child wel­fare pol­icy developments.
