Dakota and Mackenzie

June 28, 2013

Dakota and McKenzieDakota is 6 years old and has a twin sister.  She is the sixth born to seven children.  She loves her family and friends and is very sensitive to the needs of others.  Dakota loves the arts.  She loves to create new things all of the time.  She is timid upon meeting her, but once she warms up to you she is one of the most friendly and caring little girls a person could ever meet.

Mackenzie is 6 years old and has a twin sister.  She is the seventh born of seven children.  Mackenzie is very outgoing and spirited.  She loves her family and is very protective of her twin sister.  She has had difficulties due to a medical condition that has caused some cognitive delays, but works very hard and is successful at what she does.  She has a smile that is contagious and can immediately warm anyone who has the privilege of receiving it.

In our interview with the 6-year-old twins, they talk about everything — from how good they are at jumping, how they would comfort one another if they were scared, and how they would help a friend in financial need. They might not know what poverty means or that their family has faced some financial struggles, but one thing is clear: they would give everything they have to help others.
